So did my first official Triathlon of the season today and loved it! It took place in Carlow and was organised by the Racing795 club. It was such an incredible event and I enjoyed every minute of the push! I had only 3 weeks to get ready for it so I didn't do aswell as I would of liked but had a good time of 1.33. I hope to kill this in the next one and will definitely aim for a quicker time.
Another incredible day runining in the VERY beautiful Curracloe Woods and Beach. I was deligeted to come in 2nd to an amazing runner. I pushed myself hard and really enjoyed the view as I ran through the woods and back up the beach which was a TRUE killer on my legs. Once the legs got tired I had to concentrate on using my arms to keep pushing myself and moving myself forward!
Running the Dublin Half Marathon in Phoenix park Sep 2015 was a fabulous experience. I have really started working hard again on my training and loving it. I hadn't been running a couple of years while I was working hard on other areas of my fitness regime. Back running has been a great challenge and I have learned that I only compete with myself.
What an incredible morning in Courtown where there must of been 500 people turn out to do the Darknesss into light walk. It started at the Courtown Adventure and leisure centre and fininsed in the centre of Courtown with music and food for all. Kids and adults took part and Pieta House were there to Thank everyone. WELL DONE to all that took part and I am proud that, myself, my friend and both our 9 year old daughters were with us on the journey to raising awareness that people 'DO CARE'
